GOALS & IMPROVEMENTS

As the season starts it’s time to set your golfing goals! Whether your goal is lowering your handicap, adding 10 yards to your drive, or improving your short game, now is the time to put those targets in place and start working towards them. Of course, to make improvements you need put in the hard work, and you need to practice. Practicing the same move over and over again commits the movement to your muscle memory until it feels natural. Consistency is key.

Consistency should also apply to your nutrition. You can’t expect to get the same results when you put different things into your body each time you play, so set a routine for yourself now at the start of the season and stick to it. Think about having a good breakfast before you play, cut down on your sugar intake on the course (no more fizzy drinks!), ensure you have natural, healthy snacks in your bag with a good amount of protein and carbs to keep your energy levels consistent throughout your round, drink plenty of water, and try to consume roughly the same amount of calories each time you play.

It may take a while to see the difference in your game, but be consistent and by the end of the season it could be you lifting that Club Champs trophy!
